about the maker
the DIY club was founded by Tinne, a creative with a background in interior who reconnected with her childhood hobby when locked up during a covid lockdown.
What started as a creative outlet in her tiny apartment kitchen quickly turned into something bigger. She trained in wheel throwing at pottery studios in Melbourne and Amsterdam, to eventually leave her interior career behind to launch her own ceramics business.
Along the way, she introduced *clay play* to her practice — during which she fell in love with the slow process of hand building.
Now, through The DIY Club, she’s on a mission to share that joy and make ceramics an accessible, feel-good hobby for absolutely anyone, no matter the budget or space.
She started this in her kitchen and she believes you can too.
