questions + answers

When will I receive the template?

Instantly! Our products are digital, meaning they will be available immediately after the payment goes through. Keep an eye out on your e-mail (and junk) to receive a link!

can I return my order?

Unfortunately due to the product being digital it is impossible to have them returned. If you're unhappy about something in your purchase, please reach out and we'll do our best to help you out.

What tools do I need?

I honestly believe you might have all tools you need in your kitchen drawer. Think of a timber chopping board, a sharp knife or a wooden spoon and sponge. You can read about alternative tools here. If you do want to invest in some small tools, I made you a selection of what I'd get here.

What clay do you use?

Most of the examples shown are created with a very beginner friendly stoneware clay from our local pottery supply store. You can find links to the products we use and recommend here.

What glaze do you recommend?

We recommend using a brush on glaze if you’re first starting out. A dipping technique is prone to more mistakes, and the process to create the glaze is timely and not without some health hazards. You can find links to the products we recommend here.

Do I need to fire the pieces in a kiln?

Depending on the template you chose you will have to fire your items in a kiln. A kiln fired ceramic piece will make sure the item becomes durable, strong, and if used with glaze, water proof and perfect for e.g. tableware or vases.
But don’t worry, We’ll help you find a kiln nearby! To find out more where and how to find a local kiln near you and some basics in glazing, read more here….

A number of the templates can be used with air dry clay as well (yay!) these are noted clearly on the product listing. Just be aware that air dry clay is not food and/or fire safe (think candles). So for those types I recommend using a type of clay that can be fired at a high temperature.
